Making the World Better

We apply the EL Curriculum to teach the Georgia State Standards. We also place an emphasis on our 7C's combined with our learning to plan projects that help make the world better. Students are taught to be effective and ethical people.

Crew: 7C's focus Collaboration, Craftsmanship, Critical Thinking, Commitment, Curiosity, Creativity and Community.

Phonics: Short Vowel Review, Digraphs, Blends, Long Vowels (Magic e and Vowel pairs), R-Controlled Words, Multisyllabic Words, Word Endings.

ELA: Parts of a sentence, Nouns, Verbs, Adjectives, 

Writing: Writing complete sentences, Writing a paragraph with topic sentence, supporting details and ending sentence, three genres of writing (Narrative, Informational, Persuasive)

Reading: Decoding words, Fluency, Vocabulary, Reading Comprehension


Math: Strategies for Adding and subtracting number to 120, Writing, Recognizing & Counting numbers  to 120 (Skip Counting by 2, 5, & 10), Problem solving, Recognizing, Naming and Identifying 2D & 3D shapes, Time to the hour and half hour, Recognizing and Counting coins, Measurement, Place Value (tens and Ones), and Fractions.
