Welcome to our page! For the digital learning days, please click on the "more" tab and then the "what we are learning" tab each day for your assignments.
We want to thank all of you for being so supportive! This is new for all of us, but we are keeping a positive attitude and learning to navigate these next few weeks together. We are CREW! Let us know if we can help in any way.
In order for your student to be counted as PRESENT for these online learning days, we will need to see that they are working in the online forums (MobyMax, Zearn, and Seesaw). They will be required to complete daily assignments, or they will be counted as absent. The expectation is no more than 30 minutes per subject.
At some point each day we want you to spend at least 30 minutes reading. You can read a book of your own or you can go to www.getepic.com and listen to some great books. This will only work for free during school hours. Here are the class codes:
Shelton's Class Code: ehw7256
Jones' Class Code: lxp2753
Andrade's Class Code: vam1079

I am a native New Yorker, born and raised in Queens, New York. I relocated to Atlanta upon entering college. I graduated from Spelman College with a B.A. in Early Childhood Education, and later earned an M.S. in Elementary Reading and Literacy from Walden University. In addition, I attained an endorsement for ESOL instruction (English to Speakers of Other Languages) in 2011. My teaching career began in 1997, teaching 1st grade within the Atlanta Public School System. I joined the Douglas County School System in 2003, teaching 1st and 2nd grade for the past 15 years. I am the mother of a brilliant son, Cameron, who is currently attending Texas A&M University, and my fur baby, a frisky Maltese named Kobi. When not teaching, I truly enjoy traveling, shopping, and spending time with family and friends. A child at heart myself, I love all children and enjoy being a valuable part of their growth process. I will always hold each and every one of my students to high expectations, knowing that every one of them can achieve!
